My Background

My Path as a Death Doula

My journey as a Death Doula began after my husband, Scott, died unexpectedly in 2022. At the same time, my mother began declining with dementia, and I stepped into the role of her sole caregiver. Everything changed in an instant.

For years I had worked as an actor, drawn to exploring complex emotions and the depth of the human experience. But in the wake of loss, I realized I wanted to channel that empathy and compassion in a different way — to help others feel a little more supported, and to ease what can be the most gut-wrenching season of life.

I became certified as a Death Doula through IAP College and most recently trained with Death Doula School under Kacie Gikonyo. In the first two years after loss, I spent time in community with other widows, took classes on grief and healing, and began the lifelong process of learning to live alongside my own grief.

Now, I want to offer what I’ve learned to others. You don’t have to go through this alone. Community and support are what carried me forward — and they can make all the difference. If you feel this might be what you need, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation, so we can see how I might help lighten some of the burdens you’re carrying.  I became certified as a Death Doula through IAP College, and most recently attended Death Doula School with Kacie Gikonyo.  I spent the first two years after loss working in groups with other widows, attending classes on grief and healing,  and learning how to process my own grief, which is a life long endeavor, as I'm sure you know.

Now I want to take what I've learned and help others.  You don't have to go through this hard time by yourself.  Community and support is the only thing that really helped me...if that's you too...I hope to hear from you for a free consultation and we can see if I can help take some of the burdens off your shoulders.
